So lets try this again //

So that whole, "I'm going to launch a fashion blog" thing.. Didnt work out so well. I found out the hard way that blogging takes a lot of time, and time is something I don't have a lot of. I also practically never get on the computer, and phone posts aren't as easy to beautify.

Excuses, excuses.. Right?

With all of that aside, I'm going to start this baby up again. This time I'm pretty much going to be rambling about my life. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. (Insert sarcasm)

Sooooo // SUNDAY FUNDAY!
Yesterday was one of the best days I have had in a long time. We started out the day going to church. Seriously, if you live in close proxemity to Rome, you should visit Connect City Church. I always feel so much better after I've been to service. After we left, we went to Zach's parent's church for lunch. Yes, lots of church going this week. Lunch was followed by a visit with my parents, and then dinner.
Now for the best part! We took Silas to Rome's Town Green. They have fountains that shoot up from the ground, and small pools that children (& the occasional adult) can play in. That sweet boy LOVED the fountains. You could not wipe the smile off of his face. Of course I have lots of pictures, so get ready for cuteness overload! (& of course a soaking wet dad, who had no bathingsuit. Poor thing)

Seriously, I'm so lucky to have these two guys. I mean... Look at them..

Alabama Losing, Broken Down Cars, and Mustaches...

Yesterday was a pretty eventful.. First, Alabama lost. To Texas A&M.. who else didn't see that one coming?! I was at work so I only had the ESPN text messages to rely on. Second, Zach and his band played a show at the 7 venue in Douglasville. He plays bass for a band called Heartcakeparty. I missed them playing, once again because I was at work. (The show and the game were happening at the same time) There were several good bands there, so I met up with him at the show after I got off.

The most eventful part of my day happened when we left the show. We stopped at chic fil a to eat, and then once we started to head home my car just decided it wanted to stop working. I mean died right in the middle of the road. We ended up having to be pushed by a police car to a parking lot. Anddd dad, along with a tow truck had to come get us. So, I'm carless for a little while :(
Oh, I almost forgot to mention Zach's killer mustache from last night! It is too awesome not to share!
Lucky for me, it was gone today :)

So this is what my carless self wore to church today. The building is always freezing, so I had to dress warm even though it wasn't too terribly cold outside today.

A Little Brown and Black Never Hurts..

Hello ladies! and gentlemen... I guess it was rude of me to assume no guys are reading this. Zach I'm sure you read this EVERYDAY. :) Actually, in all honesty.. I don't even think he payed attention to what was on here the one time I've made him look at it. At least he acted interested.
The past few days have been super busy in the salon, and I just realized today that it's only TWO WEEKS until Thanksgiving! Where did this year go?!

Thursday I wanted to try and go a little girly, and mix it up with brown and black. (You know you don't get to wear many colors when adding brown is "Mixing it up" haha)

Today I kept it simple. I was also pretty excited because my black pants were finally black again! I wear them so often they were more like dark grey instead of black.. but I attempted to dye them back this week. They weren't completely black, but they are no longer grey! So I'm going to call this one a success!

Casual Wednesday -- Catch up edition

I have to apologize, it has been a week since I have shared anything with you. I wish I could say I have been busy.. but sadly, I have just been sick. Zach has also been sick, and then we had Silas, and he was sick. Which of course is way more important that what I happened to have on. (Which by the way was jeans and a pull over.. SO not cute) Soooo with a week full of all of us being sick.. I only have three outfits to share with you.

First, This is what I wore on Halloween. -- Please notice that my hair actually made it up into a baby ponytail! YAY!

Cardigan: Target Shirt: TJ Maxx Jeans: Target Boots: TJ Maxx Necklace: Lotus Boutique Watch: Michael Kors Bracelets: Tj Maxx, Etsy
I also had to share my brother and my friend Emily's costumes. Aren't they hilarious! Steven looks exactly like my dad did in highschool with that wig on.(and yes, he has on my necklace from the outfit above)
See!!

So, I have a surprise for you before I post Monday and Tuesdays work outfits.
Are you ready?....

I GOT EXTENSIONS!! I'm so excited about having long hair I can't even stand it! I love love love it!! Anywho.. This is what I wore on Monday. I love this skirt, and this was the first time I have been able to wear it. It was a thrift store find that didn't quite fit. But it fits now :) And just in time for Alabama to win over LSU!! Which by the way, was entirely too close of a game and we should NEVER do it again. Seriously was so anxious the whole second half I thought I was going to be without fingernails by the end of it. However, a win is a win.. so I will take it!

Now we have Tuesdays outfit. I know I have worn this sweater in a post already.. but you couldn't really see it in the pictures, and I wore it belted with a shirt underneath.. and this time I left it open. I get cold really easily at work, especially when I'm not doing a blow dry. So this was a good way to stay warm without being too bundled up.

Casual Wednesday- Lazy edition

It's Casual Wednesday!!!!! Also known as Halloween!!
I can't wait to hand out candy later, but as for now I am sitting on the couch wearing a fleece pull over, catching you all up on my style choices the past few days, and catching myself up on some Grey's Anatomy.

So, since I don't have anything special on right now I will fill you in with my work outfit from yesterday.. be on the look out for a possible THIRD post today to showcase what I will be wearing later!

Yesterday, I was shooting for casual, edgy, and comfortable. I wore a black leather jacket, black and white striped shirt, red scarf, and a black maxi skirt, with pointed toe Steve Madden Flats.

Jacket: Tj Maxx Shirt: H&M Scarf: Target Skirt: Express Shoes: Steve Madden

I had a wonderful day, full of clients. Including a much needed catch up session with my soul mate, and maid of honor, Shea. I really love my job.
I finished out a long day with not one, but two cups of Sleepy Time tea. My absolute FAVORITE! Seriously, if you haven't tried it, you should.

Also, My aunt posted this picture of my grandfather on Facebook. Wasn't he so handsome! I am so glad this clean cut, classy look is coming back into style. SO much better than seeing guys walking around with their pants at their ankles.

Weekend wardrobe- Halloween Edition!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN LOVES! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, full of crazy costumes and candy. Since today is my off day from work I didn't get to dress up.. not that I'm complaining about sitting here in a fleece pull over and yoga pants.. it's too cold for all that mess.

However, I did go to a Halloween party on Saturday.. So you get to see a costume after all :)

I was a pin up girl.. who was mistaken quite a bit for a pirate. I don't have any pictures with other costumes from the night, but I am sure there will be plenty to steal off Facebook soon.

Sunday was a day of recovery, and a date night with my wonderful soon to be husband. We have been going to a restaurant in Mentone, Alabama for quite a while now, and the chef has recently moved to a new restaurant. So we decided to give that restaurant a try. If you are ever near Mentone I HIGHLY recommend going to J. Spencer's. It was phenomenal. There really aren't even words. We started off with steamed bread and a field green salad. The salad came with home made blueberry balsamic dressing that was to die for, and the bread had a spread made of whipped butter and blueberry and grape preserves. I could have eaten it by the spoonful.  For our main dish Zach had Chicken Parmesan over angle hair pasta, with butternut squash with cinnamon and almonds. I had Salmon Wellington, which is salmon wrapped and baked in a puff pastry, covered in a cream sauce. With steamed broccoli with the same cream sauce. Seriously, to die for.

Sorry for the rant.. It was really that good. Anywho, this is what I wore.

Vest- Zara Kids (here) Shirt- Tj Maxx Belt- Target (here) Skinnies- H&M Boots- Tj Maxx
I was channeling my inner Rachel Zoe with my fur vest. From Zara KIDS. Yes, it is a kids vest. Isn't it insane! I paired with with a black shirt, a nude belt from target, dark skinnies, and my aztec cowboy boots from Tj's.

I Love Me Some Aztec..

The past few days have been busyyy. So busy in fact I totally forgot to take pictures of what I wore yesterday. Well, actually that is kind of untrue. I forgot to take pictures because I woke up late and didn't have time.. then I had my hair colored after work so I can't take them with wet hair.... and then Zach and I went to a show and got back in after 11 so I was tired.. and you cant' take pictures when you're tired and ugly. Maybe I just need to stop making excuses.

All of that being said. I wore a black and white slouchy sweater from express. Which I also wore in the picture below. With black leggings, and knee high biker boots from Charlotte Rousse. Super comfy. Especially since I haven't been sleeping well, so anything remotely uncomfortable sounds TERRIBLE.

Gah this picture makes me realize just how much my hair has grown! Because honestly, it feels like it hasn't grown a bit. If I ever start talking about cutting my hair off again someone please knock some sense into me. Worst idea ever.
Speaking of hair. I have brand new, bright, vibrant, color!!

So, today I wore a black and white chunky sweater, belted at the waist with my grandmother's red skinny belt. I belted to give the sweater shape, but mainly to keep it out of the water in the shampoo bowl. It never fails, anything baggy gets soaked at some point. I wore my hot topic black skinnies, which I absolutely love, and my black Forever 21 combat boots.
